Dr. Brian Melville, DO
Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine
Dr. Melville attended undergraduate studies at Brigham Young University, and medical school at Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine in Erie, PA. While in Pennsylvania, he concentrated his studies on rural primary care where many patients do not have adequate access to psychiatric treatment, and participated in the electroconvulsive therapy (ECT) program at Millcreek Community Hospital.
He completed family medicine residency at the University of Wyoming in Casper, WY. After residency, he managed patients with substance use and mental health conditions at Wyoming Recovery and Wyoming Medical Center including collaboration with psychiatry using transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS).
Dr. Melville currently works with veterans at the Veteran Affairs Salt Lake City Healthcare System treating mental health and pain disorders, and has obtained further training in primary care mental health integration, Alpha-Stim and other neuromodulation modalities, Battlefield and NADA acupuncture, and complicated mental health medication management.
He has experience managing treatment resistant depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, PTSD, ADHD, addiction, and pain syndromes utilizing innovative treatments, medications, behavioral and lifestyle interventions, neuromodulation, and osteopathic/integrative medicine
