Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse PractitionerUpon graduating from the University of Kansas and Wichita State University with a Master’s in Nursing in December 1992, Alana embarked on a fulfilling journey dedicated to mental health care. Joining the outpatient mental health team at the esteemed George Whalen Veteran’s Hospital in Salt Lake City, Utah, she provided medication management and various individual and group psychotherapies for 26 years.
In May 2006, earning her Doctorate from the College of Nursing at the University of Utah marked a significant milestone that deepened her commitment to serving others. She is dedicated to offering heartfelt medication management to those facing the challenges of depression, bipolar disorder, anxiety, PTSD, sleep problems, detox, substance dependency, and serious and persistent mental illness. Alana wholeheartedly acknowledges the invaluable role of a patient's support system. Collaborating with family and significant individuals in your life is not only welcomed but encouraged.
