She’s worked in Mental Health after receiving her BS degree since 1992 and graduated Summa Cum Laude, with a double major at Weber State, University, Ogden, Utah. She earned her Master’s in Social Work at Our Lady of the Lake, in San Antonio, Texas. She uses various modalities such as CBT, ACT, Humanistic, Motivational Interviewing, Existential, Mindfulness, Solution Focused Therapy, and Positive-Strength based Psychotherapy. She continues to update her education by learning new evidenced based innovative therapies. |
Her experience includes individual, couples and group therapy, acute inpatient, outpatient, residential, and partial hospital settings. She’s volunteered to provide education to school, correctional, domestic shelter settings. She’s worked with Depressive and Anxiety Disorders, Bipolar, LBGT populations, Military, and those experiencing difficult and stressful transitions in their lives. She believes that most people seek happiness, but sometimes need support to assist them during difficult transitions.
She is a mother of 6 children and 17 grandkids which has given her joy and provided her with understanding different perspectives.
